Earlier this month we had the pleasure of gathering with hundreds of technology professionals at the fifth annual TalTech Alliance TechExpo. The event took place at the FSU Turnbull Conference Center and was packed with informational sessions, networking sessions and even a scavenger hunt.
RBOA and Digital Opps sponsored the event again this year and had a booth in the Exhibit Hall. We had a great time hanging out with some of Tallahassee’s finest and attending sessions on technology and the economy, mobile technology, social media and creative development, security and compliance, learning and performance, and information technology infrastructure. Guest speakers included Chris Pollan, CIO of the Florida Bar Association, and Frank Broen, President of Teach America.
Our very own Chief Digital Officer, Michael Winn spoke with Shane Molinari, founder and principal of BCMPros, about Business Continuity and Social Media Emergency Communications. Michael focused on the importance of being prepared and having a plan for any kind of disaster, using the example of Playstation’s digital crisis, while Shane focused on the need for measurable results to ensure the success of the business. As a bonus, Michael Winn had the honor of awarding New Leaf Market with the second annual SMARTER Award. New Leaf was recognized for successfully engaging their customers in meaningful dialogue and providing the highest level of service through Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and other social media platforms.
TechExpo 2012 was a huge success and we are proud to have been a part of it! Did you attend? What did you enjoy the most?
