Nominations for the 6th annual “Social Media Achieving Real Time Enriched Relations” – or S.M.A.R.T.E.R. – Award are now being accepted. Sponsored by Digital Opps, the integrated digital marketing division of RB Oppenheim Associates, the S.M.A.R.T.E.R. Award recognizes local businesses, government entities, associations, nonprofits or other organizations demonstrating excellence in social media.
The Digital Age has fostered an abundance of powerful, innovative tools that enable instantaneous, two-way communication. Social media continues to have significant influence on how businesses develop and strengthen relationships with their customers. Over 64% of marketers now consider social media marketing a critical enabler of products and services, a 39% leap from 2014 to 2015, according to Forbes’ Key Take-Aways from Salesforce’s 2015 State of Marketing Report. Social media allows businesses to network with their customers, build brand recognition, obtain consumer insights and keep content relevant and engaging.
