TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The clock is ticking down for local golfers to sign up to participate in a tournament at Golden Eagle Country Club to benefit technology education. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and area golfers will tee off at noon on Sept. 24 to “chip-in” and support the ongoing community educational programs of the Tallahassee Technology (TalTech) Alliance.
Professional golfer Kenny Knox will provide a golf instruction clinic at 11 a.m. at the TalTech Alliance’s 2nd Annual Beyond Par Golf Tournament to kick-off the tourney. Knox played in the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour and the Champions Tour and is known for his superior putting ability. Knox’s expertise with his short game and knowledge of the golf swing comes from a lifetime of experience. He now resides in Tallahassee and is giving back to the game that has been so good to him.
“Our golf tournament fundraiser will be an enjoyable event not only for our members and sponsors, but also for others in the Tallahassee community,” said Dave Overholt, chairman of the TalTech Alliance. “Everyone will have a great time while supporting a worthy cause. Local students and businesses benefit significantly from TalTech’s educational initiatives to foster opportunity and economic growth through technology.”
The proceeds from the event will directly support the ongoing community educational programs of the TalTech Alliance.
