If you’re not using social media to build relationships and promote your art and activities you’re missing out! If you have a Facebook page or Twitter account and want to expand your reach and market in new ways, this workshop is for you. RBOA’s Erin Schmidt and Michael Winn will teach you how to use social networking sites to market your art, music, dance, theatre, writing, film…all of it can be enhanced by “going social” and will bring you more patrons and customers!
There are two sessions, one for beginners and one for more experienced users, and you can sign up for either one or both.
THE TWO WORKSHOPS (attend one or both):
10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Basic Social Media
This introduction will provide an overview of popular social media sites and provide real-life examples of how artists and arts and cultural organizations are using sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr to promote their work, connect with the community and reach their marketing goals.
1:00 – 2:30 pm: Advanced Social Media Strategies
Learn how to enhance your digital marketing by using social media sites in combination. Connect the digital dots while reaching across multiple online platforms. Now is the time to sketch out your social media masterpiece!
