TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Representatives from MedAffinity Corporation will lead a discussion on Electronic Health Records (EHR) – the health care industry’s newest information management technology – at the Tallahassee Technology (TalTech) Alliance luncheon on Wednesday, March 20.
Attendees will learn about the service and accuracy benefits EHRs provide and the regulations to which health care providers must adhere in order to implement an EHR system properly. This developing technology is transforming the health care industry – from the end user to the administrator and every health care professional in between.
“EHRs are recalibrating the entire health care landscape – with the end result being better patient outcomes and informed patients who are in control of their own health care,” TalTech Chairman John McFarlain said. “This presentation will allow attendees to learn from experts about the importance of EHRs, how they came to be and what their future holds.”
Attendees will hear from MedAffinity Corporation’s top two executives. Established in 2005, MedAffinity Corporation is a Tallahassee-based company providing EHR services to health care practitioners in the Southeastern United States. In May 2012, when the federal government started its incentive rebate program for the health care industry, MedAffinity’s EHR software also earned its federal certification.
The luncheon will be at Capital City Country Club, located at 1601 Golf Terrace Dr. The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and there is no cost for TalTech members; non-members must pay $20.
