Emily Allman is an Account Manager at RB Oppenheim Associates, serving clients in the areas of public health, associations, technology, government, senior services, travel and product marketing.  Her responsibilities include strategy development and planning, branding and messaging, media relations and issue management, editorial services, social media networking and digital marketing, event planning, production management and client counseling.  The newest member of the RBOA team (joining us in February 2013), Emily brings to RBOA and our clients a great enthusiasm for the communications field and a long-standing knowledge of PR strategy, materials development, emerging technologies and social media tools.

 Prior to joining RB Oppenheim Associates, Emily worked in the Washington, D.C. area for O’Keeffe & Company, an integrated marketing agency that targets the public sector.  During her time in D.C., Emily was an integral part of her PR team, providing high-level service to IT clients like CDW-G, Citrix Systems, OpenText and Oracle.  She also worked closely with Federal government employees through MeriTalk, a public-private partnership focused on improving the outcomes of government IT.  Through MeriTalk, Emily helped put on events where government and industry professionals met to discuss hot Federal IT topics like cybersecurity, cloud computing and mobility.

 Emily previously served as a public relations intern at Ron Sachs Communications, a leading Florida public affairs firm, and was a volunteer news anchor for WUFT News in Gainesville.

 A Tallahassee native, Emily graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and communications, specializing in telecommunications and news, with a minor degree in English.  In her spare time, Emily enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends

FETC is one of the largest conferences in the nation devoted to educational technology, drawing more than 12,000 educators, corporations and government leaders to Orlando each year.  RBOA has served FETC for 15 consecutive years,  managing all communications for the conference.

In recent years, these services have expanded to include several digital components, including an online press room that provides attending press members with instant access to conference news and information while reducing the costs and carbon footprint associated with printed materials.

Media surveys conducted each year consistently rate the conference’s online press room as “outstanding” and “among the best in the country.” Efforts for FETC have garnered Image and Golden Image Awards from the Florida Public Relations Association for the Virtual Newsroom and on-site Press Room.

RBOA has also helped FETC “go social” by providing attendees with a constant stream of conference news and information via Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and EdModo. Social networking events, such as the highly popular FETC “Tweet-Up,” help bring online conversations to life.
